In the West, people prefer beaches because they need a sun tan. But we don’t, primarily because our skin tone is mostly wheat-ish. Hence, except for beach bums, I don’t think anyone would want to get sunburned on their honeymoon, especially after all the investments done on their body for the wedding.

One of the main reasons to choose a cold place is because it lets you get cosy with each other. The temperature outside is so low that it really makes you want to hug and cuddle in order to bring some warmth. Thus, helping you get closer and closer each time you step out of the hotel room for sightseeing.
